A classic Czech opera, sung in German. In the 2026 season premiere of the WFMT Opera Series, we hear a production of Smetana’s The Bartered Bride from the Vienna State Opera. Conductor Tomáš Hanus leads the ensemble featuring Franz Xaver Schlecht as Krušina, Margaret Plummer as Ludmila, Slávka Zámečníková as Mařenka, and Ivo Stanchev as Mícha.
