The 2026-27 season of Live from WFMT launches with a recital by cellist Rainer Crosett and pianist Victor Santiago Asuncion. Victor Santiago Asunción was born in the Philippines, and has a long and celebrated career as an internationally respected recital collaborator. He created the American Recital Debut Award as a means to support young classical artists who demonstrate outstanding potential for a performance career, and to honor his longtime recital partner, the legendary American cellist Lynn Harrell. Rainer Crosett is a recent ARDA recipient. As part of the award, he made his New York recital debut at Carnegie’s Weill Hall in Spring 2026. Victor was the pianist for that hallmark performance, as he is for this evening’s recital on Live From WFMT.
