Hearing in Color’s resident vocal ensemble, Chroma, presents We the People, a dynamic performance about belonging and justice. Chicago’s newest chamber choir blends contemporary works, reimagined favorites, and new commissions to explore what it means to feel welcome and how we acknowledge the many voices that shape our country. Repertoire for this edition of Live From WFMT includes works by Jasmine Barnes, Ysaye M. Barnwell, and Caroline Shaw. Chroma will also perform some pieces written especially for the ensemble by Steve Wallace and Jalen Scott.
