It's always a pleasure to see two artists in lock-step with one another, but we would expect nothing less from this duo. Mother-son collaborators Tatyana Pikayzen, piano, and Igor Pikayzen, violin, graced WFMT airwaves on December 8 for a live Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert.
Together, the familial duo performed expressive, engaging music by Schubert — the Fantasie for Violin and Piano in C Major — and by Wieniawski — the Fantasia on Themes from Faust by Gounod.
