Solomiya Ivakhiv, the accomplished concert violinist, chamber musician, and educator, shares a highly personal playlist of works by composers from her native Ukraine including Valentyn Silvestrov, Yevhen Stankovych, Myroslav Skoryk, Ivan Karabits, and others. The program will feature selections from Ivakhiv’s album with pianist Angelina Gadeliya, Journey to Freedom — a reflection of struggle and the first compendium of works for violin and piano written exclusively by Ukrainian composers.
Hosted by George Preston.
