Music of the Baroque‘s October concert Baroque Heroes featured a program that ranged from both chronological extremes of the Baroque era and one excursion into the Classical period — C.P.E. Bach’s virtuosic Cello Concerto in A major. The soloist was MOB’s principal cellist Paul Dwyer. A stylistic chameleon, Dwyer is a founding member of two period instrument ensembles, Diderot String Quartet and ACRONYM, while also serving as assistant principal of Lyric Opera Orchestra and pursuing an MBA at U of C’s Booth School of Business.
