There is a huge repertoire of Latin American symphonic and chamber music inspired by the indigenous South American cultures. We will celebrate this inspiration with music including Luis Gianneo’s Concierto Aymará, for violin and orchestra, a suite for flute and piano by Ecuatorian composer Jacinto Freire, and an anonymous Latin American baroque piece which features the Andean flute called quena.
