Since the 1920s, classical composers from Argentina and Uruguay drew inspiration from tango music, an urban genre developed in the twin cities across Rio de la Plata, Buenos Aires and Montevideo. On this Fiesta, we will hear tango-inspired pieces by four Argentine living composers.
