Matthias Goerne is a regular guest at internationally renowned concert halls, opera houses, and festivals; has worked with the most prestigious conductors and orchestras in Europe, the United States, and Asia; and has amassed an inestimable discography of critically acclaimed recordings dating back to his first Winterreise for Graham Johnson’s Complete Songs of Franz Schubert in 1996. Hailed as “today’s leading interpreter of German art songs,” (Chicago Tribune) and “one of the greatest singers performing today” (Boston Globe), Goerne returns to Ravinia with pianist Anton Mejias on August 13th to present Robert Schumann’s quintessential cycle Dichterliebe and songs of Johannes Brahms.
