Wed, 8/14 — Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series: Lindsey Sharpe and John BitoyLindsey Sharpe, cello and John Bitoy, piano

Cellist Lindsey Sharpe is an active performer, teacher, and administrator based in Chicago. A Chicago Sinfonietta Project Inclusion Freeman Fellow in both the Orchestral and Ensemble programs, she is a mentor for the Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative and the Business and Memberships Manager for El Sistema USA. John Bitoy is a pianist and composer from Chicago, where he enjoys a multi-faceted career as a soloist and collaborative pianist.

Thurs, 8/15 — Chicago Gargoyle Brass and Organ EnsembleMembers of the Chicago Gargoyle Brass & Organ Ensemble performing.

The Chicago Gargoyle Brass was founded in 1992 by its Artistic Director, H. Rodney Holmes, as a chamber group of faculty and students at the University of Chicago, whose campus architecture boasts a charming variety of the ensemble’s namesake.
