Named Best Female Singer of the 2024 Oper! Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2023 International Classical Music Awards, Ermonela Jaho is internationally recognized as one of the greatest operatic artists of our day. The Albanian soprano is celebrated for her portrayals of Puccini and verismo heroines, and is acclaimed worldwide for her interpretations of the title roles of La traviata and Madama Butterfly. Jaho joins WFMT to share her recordings with Opera Rara, a company whose mission is to restore, record, perform and promote the lost operatic heritage of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
