Former music director Alan Gilbert leads the New York Philharmonic in music by Anatoly Lyadov, Julia Adolphe, and Modest Mussorgsky before welcoming mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato to perform an excerpt from Hector Berlioz’s Les Nuits d’été.
