Michael Spyres is one of the most sought-after singers of his generation, who has performed more roles than any active tenor: an astounding 83 roles in 78 separate operas! His unique three-octave range allows him to sing both as a tenor and a baritone in every genre from Baroque to the 21st century, while firmly establishing himself as an expert in bel canto repertoire and French Grand Opera. He has been celebrated in the world’s most prestigious international opera houses, festivals, and concert halls and is acclaimed in the widest range of repertoire. Michael Spyres is an an Artist Ambassador for Opera Rara joining WFMT on the occasion of his latest album with pianist Carlo Rizzi: Donizetti Songs, Vol. 3.
