Internationally acclaimed tenor and Evanston, Illinois-native Matthew Polenzani is in high-demand for his interpretations of lyric roles ranging from Mozart’s Idomeneo to Rodolfo in La bohème with a particular specialty in Romantic French opera. He joins WFMT to discuss preserving his instrument through good vocal technique and diversifying his repertoire, his love of art song, and the pleasures of performing in Chicago.
