Rosa Feola came to international attention after winning multiple awards including Second Prize, the Audience Prize, and the Zarzuela Prize at the 2010 Operalia Competition. Chicago audiences have heard the Italian soprano as soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Orff’s Carmina Burana (2012) and Verdi’s Falstaff (2016); and with Lyric Opera in one of her signature roles, Gilda in Rigoletto (2017). Rosa Feola joins WFMT to share selections from her acclaimed discography of rare Italian art song and arias, including the latest volume of Opera Rara’s Donizetti Song Project.
