Duo Recital: Whitney Morrison and Takaoki Onishi (Rebroadcast)

Soprano, Whitney Morrison and baritone, Takaoki Onishi are the featured singers in a program featuring beautiful songs from the 20th century.  Ms. Morrison will perform Elinor Remick Warren’s moving song-cycle Singing Earth, based on four poems by Carl Sandburg. And Mr. Onishi will sing Francis Poulenc’s Banalités, which was inspired by French poet Guillaume Apollinaire.  Also featured is music by Alfred Bachlet, Hoagy Carmichael and Mitch Leigh.  Joining Ms. Whitney and Mr. Onishi on the piano is Madeline Slettedahl.
