Video: Pianist Lucas Krupinski Plays Schubert, Chopin, Ravel

Award-winning pianist Lucas Krupinski is no stranger to the music of Chopin — he was a semi-finalist and placed within the top 20 pianists of the 17th Frederic Chopin International Piano Competition in 2015, and was honored with a commemorative medal of the Chopin University of Music. So it was no surprise when the young Polish pianist gave a sensitive, dynamic performance of the esteemed Romantic composer's Ballade No. 4, Grande valse brillante, and Étude in A-Flat Major during his October 9 Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert.
