Ahead of the esteemed duo's performance at UChicago Presents, Tal & Groethuysen, who first joined forces in 1985, visited WFMT for an Impromptu of piano four-hands music by Mozart, Schubert, and lesser-known French composer Louis Théodore Gouvy, who was a contemporary of Liszt. Enjoy this evocative performance of Schubert's Fantasy in F Minor.

Duo Tal & Groethuysen performs works of Mozart, Schubert, Wagner, Debussy, and Strauss on Friday, January 10 at Mandel Hall on the University of Chicago Campus as part of UChicago Presents. For ticketing and information, visit Click here to hear Duo Tal & Groethusen's full Impromptu performance.
