This week, Ana María Martínez is Oliver’s guest. The Puerto Rican soprano is Lyric Opera of Chicago’s cultural ambassador and a champion of Daniel Catán’s Florencia en el Amazonas. The two-act opera — with elements of magical realism in the style of Gabriel García Márquez — is the first Spanish-language work to be presented in Lyric’s mainstage season.
