Based in the Catalan city of Granollers, Veus – Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió, or The Voices Children’s Chorus, was created in 1996 as part of the Societat Coral Amics de la Unió, a choral society founded in 1877. Recorded live in concert in Pau Casals Hall — named for the cellist and composer Pablo Casals — Veus is joined by the Barcelona Symphonic Wind Band conducted by José Rafael Pascual-Vilaplana. Here now, Albert Guinovart Suite Nadalenca (Christmas Suite,) featuring beloved Catalan nadales, or Christmas carols.
