Baroque&Before celebrates ten years of weekly broadcasts on Classical WFMT with our inaugural program, first heard January 2, 2014. Spanish harpsichordist Ignacio Prego takes us on a fascinating musical journey through three centuries of keyboard music of the Spanish Court during the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, starting with the Court of Felipe II.

Tonight’s program was recorded live in concert October 31, 2013 at Instituto Cervantes Chicago, as part of the Eighth Latino Music Festival. The program concludes with Ignacio Prego’s commercial recording of Bach’s Toccata in e minor.
