Hera Hyesang Park (Photo by David Sisso & Guido Chouela)
Hera Hyesang Park joins WFMT to share selections from her recent concept album Breathe, focusing on spiritual, meditative arias and songs. The South Korean soprano brings a very personal approach to her choice of music, which ranges from classics by Rossini, Verdi, Massenet and more to recent works by contemporary composers Henryk Górecki, Cecilia Livingston, and Luke Howard.
Watch the music video for Luke Howard’s “While You Live,” which follows Ms. Park on a dreamlike voyage from an abandoned opera house to the middle of the ocean.
