Manual Cinema's Frankenstein

Chicago-based performance collective Manual Cinema blends filmmaking, puppetry, live music, and stagecraft for a one-of-a-kind retelling of the seminal gothic horror Frankenstein. Woven into the program are biographical details of Mary Shelley, the tale's pioneering author.

University Symphony Orchestra Halloween Concert

A concert featuring UChicago's student orchestra mines classic movie soundtracks and dramatic symphonic music. The performance will also be livestreamed to YouTube.

Naach Chicago: Halloween Bollywood Dance Workshop

Halloween Horror Film Classic: The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Organist Jay Warren pulls out all the stops while accompanying the 1923 silent film classic (not to be confused with the Disney title of the same name), The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The atmospheric setting of UChicago's Gothic revival Rockefeller Memorial Chapel is sure to make the show all the more memorable.
