A recital of baritone and soprano favorites with some surprises are in store for our next Ryan Opera Center program. Ian Rucker will be heard in Ambroise Thomas’ famous drinking song, “O vin, dissipe la tristesse”, from his opera Hamlet and as the innocent sailor from Benjamin Britten’s opera Billy Budd. We’ll hear Finn Sagal in Wagner’s powerful “O du, mein holder Abendstern” from Tannhäuser and as the Count in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. And Adia Evans will delight us with music of Strauss and Amy Beach as well as a song made famous by Aretha Franklin and Dionne Warwick, “I Say a Little Prayer”.
Soprano Adia Evans, Baritone Ian Rucker, Baritone Finn Sagal, and Pianist Michael Banwarth
