In this delightful recital, soprano Gemma Nha and tenor Daniel Espinal will be heard in works by Agustín Lara, Francesco Santoliquido, Richard Strauss, and Ambroise Thomas. Gemma will be performing and speaking to us about two Korean songs that showcase the beauty and lushness of Korean art songs but also the rhythm and tradition that is built into this music. Daniel will sing one of the most gorgeous Spanish song cycles ever written, Joaquin Turina’s Poema en forma de canciones or “Poem in the Form of Songs”. Intoxicating love music with Spanish flair. They will be joined by Michael Banwarth on the piano.
