Violinist Brendon Elliott and pianist Ingrid Bick perform works by Joseph Bologne, Lili Boulanger, Francis Poulenc, Claude Debussy, Pablo de Sarasate and Jules Massenet, live from the Seventeenth Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago.
Virginia Native, Brendon Elliott received his BM studying with Pamela Frank and Joseph Silverstein at The Curtis Institute of Music and attained his master’s at The Juilliard School under Sylvia Rosenberg and Ronald Copes, then completed a fellowship with the New World Symphony. He began his violin studies under his mother’s tutelage at the age of three and made his solo debut when he was 10 years old. He was chosen to be featured on NPR’s From the Top at 13. At age 17, Brendon was invited as a guest soloist with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra after winning their concerto competition thrice. That same year he received the Achievement Award from the Sphinx Competion and, not long after, toured with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra performing Adolphus Hailstork’s Violin Concerto as an opener for Natalie Cole.
Performances hailed as ‘having graceful power…a revelation in musical excellence’ and an ‘unforgettable experience’, pianist Ingrid Keller holds a multifaceted career as a recitalist, collaborative pianist, and teacher. She has performed nationally in such distinguished venues as the Kennedy Center, Symphony Hall in Boston, Jordan Hall, the Banff Centre and Tanglewood, as well as internationally. Recent collaborations have brought her on stage with the Mark Morris Dance group, members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Richmond Symphony, and alongside such celebrated musicians as Yo-Yo Ma, Dawn Upshaw, Leonidas Kavakos, and Joe Burgstaller.
Ingrid serves on the piano faculty at The College of William and Mary and has held positions at University of Dayton, Northern Kentucky University, University of Oregon, and University of Richmond. She holds degrees from Northwestern University (B.M.), and Indiana University (M.M. and D.M.), where she studied under the tutelage of world-renowned pianist, Menahem Pressler.
She is the Founder and Artistic Director of The Belvedere Series, an acclaimed chamber and concert series in Richmond, Virginia.
