Celebrated for his exceptional vocal beauty and artistry, Jussi Björling (February 5, 1911–September 9, 1960) was one of the leading opera singers of the 20th century. Conductor and musicologist Will Crutchfield, who curates this program’s playlist, joins WFMT to pay tribute to the iconic Swedish tenor. In November, the Jussi Björling Society presents Will Crutchfield and Henry Fogel as guest speakers for the webinar The Tenor Voice and the 20th Century. Learn more HERE.
