Trinidadian soprano Jeanine De Bique is renowned for the vivid artistry and magnetic presence she brings to every performance. Whether unleashing dazzling cascades of baroque coloratura, or giving voice to new roles with fearless immediacy, she commands the stage with a combination of virtuosity and emotional truth that has firmly secured her international position as one of the most exceptional sopranos of her generation. De Bique makes her subscription concert debut with the Chicago Symphony Chorus and Orchestra in Mozart’s Requiem (November 20–23) and gives a solo recital with pianist Aaron Wajnberg for Northeastern Illinois University’s Jewel Box Series on November 14 — a performance which will followed by a free public masterclass. She joins WFMT to share selections from her acclaimed debut solo album Mirrors.
