Grammy award-winning conductor James Conlon, joins WFMT for an hour of music and conversation. As music director of the Ravinia Festival from 2005 to 2015, Maestro Conlon revitalized Ravninia’s operatic offerings by presenting grand opera such as Verdi’s Aida and Strauss’s Salome in concert in the Pavilion; and intimate, semi-staged performances of Mozart’s seven great operas in the Marin Theatre. Following his final perfomances as music director of LA Opera in June, next month, he leads Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio in the Martin Theatre. Learn more HERE.
