Opera favorites, some Chinese and Yiddish songs, and music by Cole Porter is in store for you on our next recital. Two first-year members of the Ryan Opera Center ensemble, baritone Sihao Hu and bass-baritone Benjamin R. Sokol are joined by ensemble member, pianist Michael Banwarth. We’ll hear three songs written by Bellini, two arias from Verdi’s Don Carlo and Borodin’s Prince Igor. Sihao will share songs by Chinese composer Zhao Jipling and Benjamin will delight us with two Yiddish songs and music from Cole Porter’s Fifty Million Frenchmen.
