Music of Richard Strauss is paired with Samuel Barber in this delightful recital from the Ryan Opera Center. Emily Richter will be heard in music from Strauss’ opera Daphne and his 3 Brentano Lieder. And we’ll hear Adia Evans in music from Barber’s opera Vanessa, and from his seminal work Knoxville: Summer of 1915. And they will perform a duet together with Billy Stayhorn’s “A Flower is a Lovesome Thing”. They will be joined on the piano by Michael Banwarth.
