In his 1984 book and subsequent BBC and PBS television series, Sir David Attenborough (1926–) examined the forces that shape the Earth’s surface and how the living adapt. The author, broadcaster, and naturalist spoke with Studs Terkel on WFMT in 1985. Attenborough celebrated his 100th birthday in May 2026, and we wish him vitality and curiosity for many years to come.
