In 2017, Kathryn Lewek made a lasting impression singing her signature role, the Queen of the Night, in Lyric Opera’s The Magic Flute. The thrilling coloratura soprano returns next month to co-star in Rossini’s Le Comte Ory alongside Lawrence Brownlee. She joins Oliver Camacho to discuss the musicianship and technique required to sing some of the most demanding music in opera, and her new album of cantatas by Handel.

Watch Kathryn Lewek as the Queen of the Night below and learn more about her recital The Food of Love with tenor Zach Borichevsky and pianist Craig Ketter HERE.
