To thrive, classical music must strive to reach new audiences and include new artists. Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative aims to diversify American orchestras by training promising young artists from underrepresented communities for careers in classical music.

On Saturday, March 6, four CMPI fellows will be featured on WFMT's Introductions: Miguel Rodriguez, flute; Rafael Noriega, bass trombone; Eric Bahena Figueroa, bassoon; and Kailie Holliday, cello. Enjoy these video previews of their performances: selections by Bach and Saint-Saëns performed by Holliday with accompaniment by Beilin Han, and a work by Rachmaninoff performed by Figueroa and Han.
