Composer and pianist Sergei Rachmaninoff lived at the crossroads of continents, centuries, and cultures. He was born in Russia on April 1st, 1873, and died in Beverly Hills, California on March 28th, 1943. During his lifetime, classical music and music as a whole underwent countless tide changes, some of humanity’s biggest wars were waged, and countless new inventions changed the course of human history.
