As a new month arrives, the calendar isn’t the only thing being shifted. On March 1, updates will be coming to WFMT. All of the WFMT programming you know and love will remain; some of it will be coming at a new time /or date!
- The WFMT Orchestra Series now airs Mondays, 10pm. The globetrotting series samples performances from some of the world’s most renowned orchestras.
- The New York Philharmonic program now airs Thursday evenings at 10pm. The long-running series presents recent performances as well as mining the orchestra’s archives for treasured historical recordings.
- Sounds Classical now airs Saturday evenings at 7pm. The WFMT-produced program is hosted by LaRob K. Rafael and Kristina Lynn, and is devoted to broadening our understandings of what classical music is.
- Fiesta, which invites listeners to join host Elbio Barilari in exploring Spanish and Latin American classical music, now airs at 10pm on Sundays.
- And Collectors’ Corner, which highlights hard-to-come-by and historically vital recordings, now starts an hour later, running from 11pm on Sunday to 1am on Monday.
In presenter news, Kristina Lynn will now host music for Friday evenings from 8pm-11pm.
