EXPO by Magnus Lindberg begins our broadcast and will be followed by the Brahms Violin Concerto in D performed by Frank Peter Zimmerman. The program concludes with the Symphonie fantastique by Berlioz.

The CSO announces an array of concerts from September to January.

An evening of music by Lindberg, former composer-in-residence at the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Grammy-Award winner and former music director Alan Gilbert.

The CSO’s 130th season begins on September 17 with a free concert for Chicago at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.
