The Auditorium Theatre returns for its 2024-2025 season. The Roosevelt University-owned “theatre for the people” presents music and dance titles from October to May.
The season opens in October with Step Afrika!, the preeminent ensemble dedicated to the rich history of stepping.
Coming in January 2025 is Too Hot to Handel, the jazz-gospel reimagining of Handel’s beloved Messiah. Ravinia associate conductor and Peoria Symphony Orchestra music director George Stelluto conducts.
In February, Complexions Contemporary Ballet returns to the Auditorium for one night only for a dance tribute to U2.
The next month, Ballet Folklórico de México will bring its heralded blend of Mexican dance, music, and costumes to the Auditorium’s stage.
From March 5 to March 9, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will return for its annual residency at the venue – the 2025 installment will be the troupe’s 56th at the Auditorium. The group’s 2024 residency launches on April 17.
